Dear Susan,
You might have so much sand in your soil that there are few nutrients, I
would feed my irises & put some alfalfa pellets into the soil now & again in
the Fall & Spring. I use 0 -20-20 fertilizer that I get at a feed store
called Southern States. You might also want to add some compost to your soil.
