Yes, but fully grown. I used an old colander (it didn't start out old, but
ended up that way! lol) and the garden hose. That year, it was all weather
related and I tried to rescue everything. It was just after I learned they
might survive at a less mature stage. I'd read about all types of techniques
during the winter, and it was a good thing. I nearly threw up my hands,
anyway. It started raining about a week after I made the last cross and
stayed rainy and overcast for weeks. I had pods sticking in flower beds,
standing in potatoes, laying on my potting table and window sills. I rescued
stuff at about three weeks, but these weren't mature.

I didn't think to check on this, but I don't believe there was a connection.
Betty in BG KY zone 6 where the seed pods may be maturing early due to LACK
of water. It does seem isolated to the end of one bed that faces extreme
heat.
