This past week has been a blur. Our Spring Regional Garden Tour was last
weekend. This weekend was both the King County and Pierce County Iris Shows
here in Western WA. State.
Last weekend a PCN I sent for evaluation was selected as best seedling. This
weekend my SIB: CHILLED WINE won Best of Show. At the Region 14 garden tour
my versicolor seedling was selected 3rd best. God really has been kind at
helping me select what to send. Yes, I feel overwhelmed and blessed!
I am a bit crazy as well. Thursday I drove to the OR iris gardens and visited
9 in one day. That does not mean I evaluated well at all of them, but I did
see lots of wonderful iris. The gardens I visited were, Aitken's,
Schreiner's, K. Keppel, Mid-America, J & V. Craig, Filardi, Cooley's,
Silverberg, and Will Plotner. We left here about 7 AM and got home about
midnight. It was peak TB time!
