It looks to me like a classic case of roundup weed killer
being sprayed in the vicinity.
All it takes is a whiff, even from a distance, anywhere
around iris, even before they begin to flower.
BTW, What a beautiful clump of iris you have there, you
should be very proud, just fantastic bloom.
