<I've seen tremendous variation from cultivar to cultivar, but
consistency, especially with shape, for any given plant.  Keep  me

Thanks Betty.  Most of the variation in shape that I've noticed has been
from one cultivar to another.  Good to know that's consistent with what
you've seen.

The biggest variation in size is for HARVEST OF MEMORIES, depending on
garden location.  The clump growing in the shrubs and weeds that gets
runoff from the barn roof has HUGE pods.  The size variability within
the other clumps of HOM may have more to do with pod age.  Like you say,
except for lopsided pods, they do seem to be more or less the same
shape.

Pods on ART DECO are all closer to the same age, but they still vary a
lot in size, especially the one with the seeds growing on the outside
<g>.
