I enjoyed reading thru the list of black iris (from your Schreiner's
'79 catalog). Several of those are old favorites of mine. There is
another (and probably more) that was, and still is, a good older black
iris. That one is 'Interpol'. It is very dark, though is a somewhat
smaller flower than some more recent black iris; and I still grow it
after many years and even after all the newcomers in the black color
class. It also is by Gordon Plough ('73) and one of its grandparents is
'Study In Black'.
