HYB:DEBBY RAIRDON

Perhaps some confusion about DEBBY RAIRDON. In a 1978 article, J. D.
Foraker, who interviewed Lois Kuntz, said that she "picked two pink
varieties to cross" and then selected a single seedling from the ten or so
that resulted. This suggests that DEBBY RAIRDON did not arise from a chance
pod, as someone on the list recently stated. Has anyone checked the
registrations to see if a parentage is listed? It may be that the two pink
parents were unknown varieties, and that started the "bee pod" story.

PS--may I suggest that the "blob" was simply a normally wilted bloom?
