Donald,

I like erect standards....see picture of UPTOWN PROPER in 
Cooley's catalog or FOLLOW THE FLEET in iris-photos 2001.

Swirled standards are also a favorite even though you may have to 
tear up the flower to get to the pollen.  Several Schreiner blues 
come to mind along with your blue seedling.
