Thank you, Dallas, for the very well written explanation.  The missouriensis 
I have came from a low-lying meadow, quite wet in the springtime, then dries 
up as the summer progresses.  A neighbor collected some - Summit Prairie in 
the Ochoco Mountains; she was unable to describe the soil type to me; lost 
hers.  I'm terribly UN-knowledgeable about all the different species - 
amazing how much there is to learn if one has the time.
