Garden labeling

I used the Brother P-Touch and it was worthless. I used
both the white and the silver tape and both of them faded
and disappeared no matter what I did. I actually
experimented with them - plain label, laminated label,
varnished label, scotch taped label, packing taped label . .
. not one of them held their letters more than a season here
in SE Wisconsin.
I've been using metal garden markers from here:
http://www.everlastlabel.com/ this year and I'm
VERY happy with them so far. Talk to me next year, however,
and I'll tell you how they did over the winter.
