COMP: Subject Tags/Beginners

Walter, I agree with you and I don't.  As much as I agree with the tags, I 
would hate to see ANY of our new & very enthusiastic iris friends leave the 
list because of them.  Or because of discussions over them.  For new people 
that aren't familiar with the advantages of "tags", hang in there so we might 
help you learn.  

For newer list members, who aren't familiar with the tag protocol or 
procedure, it might be a good idea to go to the archives (listed below and 
copied from Linda! ;-)  and put in a general search over the past two or 
three years using the subject "Tags."  You should find several former 
discussions on this subject.  It should be enlightening.  

This search will be different from a monthly search in which the TAGS are 
very helpful in separating out either date, authors, or subjects.  In this 
case, it will pull out any conversation in which the word TAG is used.  

I'm just as guilty, or more, as anyone for forgetting to change the tag when 
I answer a post. The forgetfulness is usually due to an eager urge to answer 
or contribute my 2 cents worth. Okay!  It's NOT the age!  I've always been 
this way!  Each time I do it, I promise I will watch more carefully in the 
future.  And I do! Until the next time.
