Oh c'mon folks, you can type a page of stuff & it's too much trouble to
change a few words in the subject line when you hit reply? A lot of
listers are on digest or nomail mode - if you want answers to your
questions, you are more likely to get them if you use a subject line
that gets people to read your post.
John, our fearless leader, is lenient about not using subject tags as
long as we don't make a habit of it once we know better. I've even seen
him break the rules with his own posts a few times <g>
I make an effort to read all the posts by newbies, regardless of subject
line, knowing that they are still learning the ropes and are usually
asking for help. If I see a post with a subject line about something
that doesnt' interest me, like deer or dogs or daffodils or even
something about an iris topic that doesn't interest me, from somebody
who's been around awhile, I usually don't read it. I gave up trying to
follow threads that don't match subjects when I found out so many posts
were missing.
Pods are starting to ripen. To my relief, several appear not to have
seeds in them <g>. Also, when there are several pods, the empty ones
appear bigger than the filled ones, possibly explaining some of the
within cultivar variability in pod size I mentioned before..
