Last year, Old South Iris Society compiled a list of irises registered as
rebloomers that actually did rebloom at our latitude. Immortality was most
often reported as having rebloom in 2001. Strangely (or maybe not) it seems
to enjoy neglect and usually blooms under these conditions. As we speak it is
smothered in withering larkspur foliage and bird planted poke salad (polk
weed). Still, I fully expect blooms and at quite near the height you mention.
Our "narrow band" latitude compilation identified 30 iris that actually did
produce rebloom among the hundreds so registered. We expect to continue this
compilation as an ongoing project.
