Regarding rebloom on some of Joe Ghio's newer introductions, I live
just on the other side of the mountains from Joe and iris I get from him
will often rebloom the first fall after planting, but never again, the bloom
stalks having been "set" before he shipped them, including the afore
mentioned Double Dribble. I don't believe Joe specifically breeds for
rebloom, he just reports those which happen to rebloom in his plantings.
That said I would like to plug one which has consistently rebloomed here
(Zone 9) and might in other area's, RETURN ADDRESS. A plicata in dark orange
with good form and branching and bud count. No crosses with this yet -
anyone else like this one ?
