I don't think Joe Ghio particularly breeds for rebloom, although any
desirable traits may at least be secondary factors in selection decisions.
I only know that in recent years his plicatas and luminatas are becoming
more and more vigorous and more likely to rebloom.  This is only my second
year with Double Dribble; the first year in the ground, but if it blooms
again this fall I will really be impressed.  I don't know if these are only
"California" rebloomers, but at least an inkling of the right genes are
there and in some truly oustanding flowers.  A couple more generations of
stirring the pot, and we may really be amazed.
