mosiac virus in tobacco and tomatoes can be transmitted by simple foot ware
infection by walking in and around unaffected plants. How exactly it
affects iris is unknown to me at this time. In a green house setting the
virus from a tobacco butt was enough to have the green house ripped out,
cleaned and replanted.
