Hey y'all
I was dividing a few iris this morning and I found something 'under' one of
the clumps. I say under because I picked up the clump after I had lifted it
with the spade and there the critter was.
He's about an inch and a half long, with legs on the front and a couple
little black spots at the back and looks pretty much like any other grub
I've ever seen. Further I haven't noticed any signs of chewing or soft
rhizomes or anything other than a mild case of what I am assuming for the
moment is leaf spot anywhere in my bed.
So what is the distiguishing characteristic of a borer worm?
And some of you have said that it's regional so where's the regions?
