This may not be much help with IMMORTALITY, but some years back we had John
Weiler for our chapter's guest speaker and his comment at that time was that
he had had it for 5 years with no bloom and was about to throw it out, when it
- on the 5th year - bloomed gloriously. So maybe it needs to be settled in.
There seems to be two schools of thought about rebloomers as to whether to
move them frequently to form an irritation that is supposed to be the promotion
for bloom. Some have said to just "lift" them and then replaced in the same
spot so the next year's bloom is not obstructed. My moves are usually in
remaking the whole bed, since I keep rebloomers together, and I never know
whether to do this before the RE-bloom or try to wait and do it after when they
may not have time to heel themselves in before cold weather and have their late
RE-bloom upset. SO I do it when it suits me, the weather and when I can get
help and hope for the best! Rosalie nr Baltimore, USA zone 7, altho I have
not yet checked that new map and as yet and we are on our 3rd day of sunshine!
Are we surprised! ? ! ryfigge@aol.com
