Re: HYB: balloon & empty pods

All the empty intentional cross pods are on two cultivars - a rebloomer
seedling and its sibling.

The rebloomer is also making some pods that look full. I have made a
lot of attempts on this one to set pods in the three years since maiden
bloom, and this is the first year it has set any pods, empty or
otherwise. So maybe there is something peculiar about the genetic
makeup of this one that is interfering with seed development.

The sibling set several balloon pods - more than pods that formed on
its tagged blooms. So perhaps the tagged blooms formed pods on their
own rather than in response to the pollen I daubed.
