Hi Beth,
I had the same problem this year. In the move to this house, I thought I
had put all my SA in a spot, only to discover this year, blue flag mostly
bloomed. Didn't even know I'd moved them over.
Needless to say, like you I marked them, pulled them-though kept one or two
just for the sake of it- and gave rest away. Too me they look just about
like anything else, but I will say mine had huge rhizomes and Giant leaves.
Someone did tell me they have a name: Sierra Blue
Is this true??

I was away from my garden during bloom season (grandchild being born) and I
suspect that some well-intentioned person planted some old fashioned blue
flag in with my TB and BB....
Is there any way to tell these rascals from my perfectly respectable
varieties pre-bloom, or should I just wait and mark them out as they bloom
??

bloomed yet)
