Re: Cult: Web sites of local clubs - How Beneficial??

Anita,

I fwd your message to some of our group leaders.

Lots of great feed back so far in helping us make a decision from this group

Thanks to everyone that has so quickly responded. Seems there are lots of
strong opinions and valid reasons for them.

Below part of an e-mail I sent to my local group.

I would think the money is maybe not such an issue as the maintaining and
making a decent site.
For me, it is so frustrating to go to an iris site and it has not been
updated for 2 years.
To me a web site just can't stagnate and that's what most do. It's like
they've published a book and that's that.

So in that sense, I'd rather not do anything if we don't put fresh things in
a fairly quick and appropriate manner. And that is a lot of work. Do we
have the manpower to do this??
I don't know.

I am the web master for region 4 which is linked to the AIS site. In the
sight I have placed space for all the affiliates to place what ever they
want. A few have taken advantage of this but not many but it is there for
them if they want it and that gives them direct access by AIS
:)
