Re: AIS: ETIS website

Linda, I wish I could give you some definitive information. The club has decided it's worth it, but I don't know how many people actually view it or find it useful.

Guess I could go check the hit counter to see how often it's been viewed.

Our server is a regional/community server for non-profit organizations. It used to be korrnet.org, now DiscoverET.org. It's nice to have our presence out there with other east Tennessee non-profits..

On the other hand, I now have a computer with windows XP and my aging brain has so far refused to let me figure out how to use the software to update the files for our sale later this month. (anybody out there with experience with FrontPage and Windows XP? I dont' think this is an XP issue, I think it's a Linda issue)

Cost of the website is a donation of around $100/yr to the community server, which is well within our budget. At our sales, we do have a lot of people ask whether or not we have a website.

It hasn't taken much time to use a canned website package like Frontpage (if I could just remember what to do!!). Kris Cutshaw, our club president, originally set up the site & all I've done is edit & update the files, which takes hardly any time at all. (except for the remembering how to do it part -arghh!!)

I also did a draft website for Region 7 by simply copying the files for our local website, then editing them - easier than starting from scratch.

I hope that's a bit of help?

I notice it at bottom of your e-mails. Our club is trying to decide whether
to start one.
Do you feel it is of value to your club? Is it worth the money and time?
