Re: AIS: ETIS website

As Gesine says, there are lots of non-AIS websites, but the other Linda's question was about AIS affiliate club websites, so that's what I'll keep trying to answer.

Gesine, do you know if the AIS website has a pretty inclusive list of links to non-AIS websites?

Linda, the hit counter for our website says we've had 2079 visitors since the site was created in April 2004. (It also says the site was last <updated> in 2004, which isn't right - it was updated last summer - one more thing I need to fix!). That averages out to 520/yr.

The first couple of years, I think we only donated $75, so that works out to....less than 70 cents per hit. If only a portion of those folks come to our show or sales, I feel like we've accomplished our mission as a non-profit group, so yes, that makes it worth it.

Of course, we have to overlook all the hits from me accessing the site to make sure it was working right <g>

A quick and easy way to create a website for your local club would be to copy all the files from my website, then open each file with some kind of HTML editor, change the text to contain info pertinent to your club, then ftp the files to whatever server is hosting it.

It's a little easier to do that using Frontpage as editor, since that's what was used to create the website in the first place.
