Re: Cult: white pants

The purple is water soluble so will come out easily in an ordinary wash.

I have been washing the purple out of a number of iris petals in order to see the pigment underneath. I can wash all of the purple out of a dark black petal with four treatments, soaking, of hot water. I'd be surprised if it doesn't come out in wash. Not only does water wash it out, heat beaks down the pigment completely.

Subject: [iris] Cult: white pants

We had our show today and I wore white pants. At the end of the day, my
white pants have purple iris dye on them. I remember some iris-link email
talk about a special way to rid of the purple dye from the irises.

If anyone has any idea's please post on the list. These have been the most
comfortable white pants too.

The talls are just starting to bloom.

The Magic Valley Iris Society had it largest show that I can remember and we
had 21 exhibitors and 109 entries.
