Thanka Diana. I think that's the one my mother has, but she lost her marker. She said "it's black witch or black something." But it is spectacular this year too. She only has it and a historic purple. I'm saying historic because it's one of the purples that everyone here in WV has and has had since my grandparents were little. Unfortunately, that's the only one I have and it didn't blind this year. It blooms early for me where it's planted, so I'm not sure if the weather affected it or if I had borers. I didn't take care of the bed well for a couple of years. That raised bed is not going to be used for any other iris, and the clump is going to be divided and treated with bleach and bulb dust in later summer. And all the discards being trashed off site.
