Christine--I have been showing irises for a few years and STILL find it
totally fun; STILL get that iris high that lasts several days. And all the
other things you mentioned--seeing new irises, talking irises, spending time
with irisarians, etc., etc.--that is really what it's all about. The
national convention is more of the same, and those attending certainly are
worthy of envy!!!
I wish you good luck with your recruitment efforts. We have found our show
to be the no. 1 generator of new members for our club. Any of you who can
make the trip will be welcomed with open arms at the Johnson City show June
14!
