And, there's another variety of soaker hose: the leaky hose, which is a
rather stiffer black hose made of recycled tires, which allows the water to
leak out all along its length. I've used these for years--great!
Barb in Santa Fe, and all of a sudden it's hot and very very dry, but the TBs
are blooming along. Zone 5 Region 23 East of Santa Fe and West of Pecos

A soaker hose is a flat hose, made out of porous material that can be
buried in the bed, or not. It oozes or sprays the water gently, all along
the length of the hose. There is also a variety that has small pin holes
all along the length. Great for roses as no water on the leaves.
