titan's glory?

Hi
Heather I concur with the probablity of the second iris possibly being
Supreme Sulton. I"m mearly guessing the "titan's glory", might be "Codicil".
Mid-blue; near black beard. If is a really tall iris, probably not as Codicil
is short 34". Happy hunting.

I have a really tall, very large blossomed iris I'm trying to I .D. It
is the same blue as "Columbia Blue" (med to lt. pure blue ) with a self
beard. It blooms the same time as "Supreme Sulton", Any guesses?

"Dorthea K Williamson " is now in bloom, not in the site where I planted
it, but where a piece appearantly got tossed among the pseoudecorus and
"Lemonaire"
on the neighbors side of the iris patch which gets pure neglect most of the
time. It is so pretty blooming down amongst the other foliage (a dark bright
red-violet with golden yellow signals).

I have 7 variety of I. versicolor now in bloom. Most in shades of pinks.
Now to get some of the blue shades!

The sibereans are also doing there thing. I'm having a tough time
deciding which is really the best. All are keepers , but "Roaring Jelly" is
very nice!I do like "Snow Queen" it blooms profusly and the white is a nice
foil in the garden.

Anyone in the area next Tues. night, in Tacoma, Chad Harris will be doing
a judges Training for JI's. at the South End Neighborhood Center. You are
most welcome.

Biill Sheer, how about advice about how the first year plantings of some
iris. In our area normally plenty of water at planting and than more
frequently than established planting up until winter sets in, possibly some
light compost for protection during cold dry weather. What do you think?

Last fall Sterling Innerst was our guest speaker at the Region 13 Fall
Regional. What a great guy! As a school teacher he knows a lot about
handling groups .

Ellen, you area sounds just right fot the Russian signa seeds. BRRRRRR.

     First strawberries are getting ripe!

Rita B Sunset #7, a chilly damp 55 at 6:30 am. We have had more than enough
rain and wind for a while.
