I have been trying out a friends electronic camera (Dycam) and it does a
fair job at med to long dist. ie. the whole bed. It does a terrible job
of the close ups you require. When you are looking for a camera, be
sure to get one which will do the close ups or which has an attachment.
I have also recently bought a Cannon $300 to take on trips or leave in
the car (my Nicon is too heavy) which has a 30 to 105 zoom which has
been great! especially for the recent iris bloom.
