REF: Describing iris

Elaine, you might find Phil Edinger's method a helpful way to organize your
observations. He has you start with the rhizome and work your way up the
flower, and he gives several options for describing each part as you go.
This method is outlined in an article found at Mike Lowe's HIPS website:

Print it out if you can and carry it with you into the garden, along with
your yardstick.
