CULT: New Iris Book

          Hi All,
               Just been sorting thru my pile of mail and came across
          Timber Press 1997 catalog.  I see where they are adding
          three new books to their gardener's guide series.  Of
          particular interest is:

          "The Gardener's Guide to Growing Irises" by Geoff Stebbings.
          The catalog states that this is a hardcover boo, and is to
          be published July 1997. Has 160pp and 78 color photos. Cost
          is $29.95. ISBN: 0-88192-388-5

          Also newly noted is:

          "Irises - A Practical Gardening Guide" by Karen Glasgow. The
          catalog describes this book as "A beautifully illustrated
          introduction stressing irises for mild climates (the book
          was originally published in New Zealand), with descriptions
          of important species, information on soil and cultivation
          requirements, discussions of propagation, pests, and
          diseases, and suggestions for using irises in the
          landscape." It is in paperback form with 104 pages and 99
          color photographs. Cost is $19.95  ISBN: 0-88192-373-7

          Just thought someone might know about these two books.  Any
          idea who Geoff Stebbings or Karen Glasgow are?  Inquiring
          minds want to know!  Looks like Timber Press is starting to
          get "heavy" with different iris books.
