That's natural when the flower first opens, before it's ready to cross.

That's definitely the easiest way I've found.

:  lip with the crest on the style arm as per instructions in this

If the flower is ready to cross, a gentle tug on the style crest will serve to
better expose the stigmatic lip.  If the clings to the style crest, try again
later.
