Hi John--

Thank goodness I have such an ally in you (and two grad school friends
of mine who moved there years ago and have been trying to talk me into
it ever since.)  I was misinformed.  There be earthquakes there.

The top two favorite movies on my list are 'The maltese Falcon'
and....you guess it -----  'Casablanca."  "The treasure of Sierra Madre"
("I don' need your steenking gold") is third and "Beat the Devil" is
fourth.  there have been some made since then that I like also.
