Hi Everyone;
We're finally back!! During the convention, Keith McNames, one of the
members of the Host Club for the convention was introduced, although it
was strongly noted, that he was no longer living in Michigan, because he
had joined a whole bunch of other people and gone to Iris Heaven,
Oregon! It is true! Oregon is wonderful! Aside from the wonderful
growing conditions here, the cameraderie is great. People here do not
hide things from one another. If you have a problem or a question, and
are looking for an answer, anyone will give you the honest goods. We
openly discuss growing practices, fertilizers, pesticides, etc., and the
thing that blows most people's minds upon moving out here, is that they
are welcome to ask anyone, and they will get a friendly reply, be it
Bennett Jones, Dave Schreiner, Terry Aitken, Keith Keppel, or ourselves.
No individual thinks they are too important to share their thoughts with
another. The co-operation is wonderful! Having said all that, time to
get back to work to try and repair the ravages of a wasted year!! Wish
me luck!
Nancy Silverberg,
Molalla, OR, where we live halfway between Heaven and Paradise!!
