I received a phone call from a woman named Barbara Lawton last night who is
ALSO writing a new iris book. Not sure of the title, but she claims it will
explore irises in history, in art, in culture, etc., as well as going over
requirments of irises of all types.
She said the book was SUPPOSED to be out now, but the release date has now
been moved to 1998. She says she's worked with Clarence Mahan on part of the
book.
Barbara will be speaking in Buffalo on Sunday, June 22nd at the Marchand
Horticultural Conference.
Kathyguest... who almost wept with joy when she saw the perfect show stalk of
MISTY LADY in bloom this morning.... pink standards, lilac falls..... TO DIE
FOR!!!!!
