Steve, if you think you are depressed in Sunny California, pity us here in
middle Tennessee where it has rained for 18 straight days and we haven't had
any sunshine for so long I think we'll all have eye problems when it finally
does come out.  Only the fact that it is about 20 degrees below normal
temperature has kept the rot from completely destroying what is left of our
iris plants!
Actually Walter has the right idea.  Today I squished outdoors between
showers and saw a bloom on a red daylily seedling which I like even though I
don't know enough about daylilies to judge it meaningfully.  And a pink
pompon dahlia is blooming.  And the cool weather has kept the pansies
blooming, too.  Of course I almost stepped on a 30" garter snake, but that
goes with the territory.
