TB: SIX PACK

SIX PACK will occasionally throw some "normal" looking blooms. The
reason that I have it is because of the Six Falls and no standards that is
usually has. It looks to me as though SIX PACK tends to through the three
standards, three falls flowers during wetter conditions and sports the
novelty blooms under drier conditions. Do others with this Iris encounter
the same growth patterns.
SIX PACK was introduced in 1984 by George Slade of Cynthiana, KY.
The years from 1979 to 1988 were unusually dry here. Had it been a
seedling now, it might would not get introduced because of the above
effect.
However, I like this Iris and intend to keep it. I divided it last
year, so I don't have much right now. Mr. Slade is in his 80's and has
retired from Hybridizing now.
