I have several SD in bloom now, I ordered several of them last year
cause I was told they was more hardier then the other bearded iris.
SOme of them are behaving very strange just sitting there sulking
while other grow as .... and are blooming just wonderful
one have even sent up 8 fans <g>.
Bedford lilac is really wonderful and third charm.
are there too much of i.florentina or I.trojana mixed into those
SD that they wont grow -- too cold climat here maybe??
one of the SD started to send up a lots of fans but decided just to die
the leaves stopped to grow and turned brown.
but the rhizom still feels fine.
(we have had a rather chilly spring here, unitil now.)
the funny thing is that its only the SD that are behaving like this not
the TB or IB or BB
