SHOW: Maine Iris Society results

	1. Queen of the Show: WARBLER (1935) - shown in a 'Special Section
of Historic Irises'...exhibited by Shirley Pope. It was a breath-
takingly beautiful yellow with three small flowers opened in
	   perfect harmony.

	1st Runner-up - JESSE'S SONG (TB)

	2nd R.U. - I. setosa (species)

	3rd R.U. - SNOW PRINCE (Siberian)

	4th R.U. - CLASSIC LOOK (TB)

	5th R.U. - LAUGHING BROOK (Siberian)

	Youth:

	1. DOTTED DOLL (SDB) exhibited by Jenny Austin (15 yrs. old whose
9 yr. old sister, Marie Austin, won the Youth Design Division)

	Design Division:

There were eight catagories and the winner was in the Class IV -
'The Trellis Companion' and I don't have her/his name. Creative
designs and one of the most lovely was submitted by Linda Ridlion,
a member of this list, in Class VI - 'The Stone Wall'.

Most Blue Ribbons - Shirley Pope with Andrew Wheeler of Mass. being
	the runner-up.

The show was very well-attended and we could hardly find a parking
space in mid-afternoon (which pleased us).

	Cheers,

	Ellen Gallagher
