In the FYI department....
A hybridizer and a computer person in the Hemerocallis Society have already
PUT out such a CD.... but they did not have just historics... they have
30,000 daylilies on a CD...with very basic information ... AND (this is the
cool part) pictures whenever they could get them! I can give anyone
interested the name & e-mail address of these people.... or if you have
techinical questions you want to know.
I purchased a copy ... mainly to support this work, which I find to be
significant and important... cost is $150 US, and you can type in a name of a
daylily and bring up the basic information PLUS a picture! Of course... my
mind races ahead to the obvious implication for irises...
Imagine being at a show and there is a question whether the iris being shown
is REALLY, "Little Liver Pills"..... the registrations chair goes to the
laptop - brings up an image of the flower.....
I LOVE it!
