green worm

Hi,
I am not sure just what it really is but something has decided to start
eating my versicolor - at least it waited until they were nearly done
blooming. It would have been nice to see the last ones but considering they
have been blooming at least a month, I guess I can share a few- but very few!
I found a 1/2" green worm munching on a rose nearby so I assume it "was" the
evil doer.
Heather, it was fun to "take a walk" around your garden via e-mail ,
What a nice way to share the companion planting you do, thanks.
Hi Steve welcome to the group- hope you find it interesting enough to
share some of your observations.
Daliaman, some of the rest of us also grow other things besides iris- I
have 10 dalias, does that make you feel better?
Graham, I'd bet just about anything that you see more plants than most
of ever
will on a daily basis, but it is a novel way to peek into other peoples
gardens albeit a bit pricey.
Thanks Ellen for the report on the Maine Iris Society show. It is fun
to hear what is happening all around the iris world. Won't it be fun to see
what New Zealand, Australia and maybe even Africa come up with for winners. I
wonder if we'll hear from Russia, Poland and other countries?
I have one BB in a pot which has finally decided it is time to bloom. A
few more days then I'll know whether it is anything to crow about.
Someone comented about it being too late to plant corn. The soil here is
just now warm enough to bother. We do have to plant a short season variety
but thats alright.
If anyone knows Anna Meade tell her I got her message.
All is well in my world today, hope the same for each of you, Rita B
