Today, the TB Iris ORIENTAL FLAIR had its first bloom of the season.
I am not sure the other buds on the stalk will develop. This is not a
rebloom. This is a gauge as to how messed up this season has been. This
Iris normally blooms with the rest of the TB Irises.
I have neglected to mention that the Spuria Iris HIGHLINE SNOWFLAKE is
blooming. A little while ago, a horrific thunderstorm came through. It
brought 2.50 inches of rain in 45 minutes and packed wind that was at least
50 MPH here. The soil is so saturated that when one walks on the grass, a
"squishing" sound is heard with each step.
