First Question,
In the 10th edition of Webster's I could not find the word
"variegata". Does it mean variegated (like stripped) or does it mean
splattered? (like in the iris Batik)?
Second Question:
I was given an iris from Michigan via Washington, it is the
older shape of a "Blue Sapphire" with the falls folded back slightly, the
color is different to me. Both the Standards and the falls are the same
color which is yellow at the base and fading to a rich pinkish purple at
the tips. The falls are slightly darker than the standard but still
yellow and purple, The beard is yellow. It is definitely a TB. Anyone
have a clue?
