Friends -- During the Region 4 garden tour this spring I saw, in the
garden of Gerri Davis, an iris labeled ASLABAB -- tawny gold standards,
black maroon falls, fairly modern form. Real Halloween colors! I can't
find it in the checklists. Does anyone know of it?
Griff Crump, along the tidal Potomac near Mount Vernon, VA, where, after
yesterday's 100+ temperature followed by wonderfully cooling
thunderstorms, my outdoor thermometer has gone wonky and I may have to
call the Weather Bureau to find out what's really going on.
