Barb,
I have chrysographes from seed. Mine was very spare and slow to incease in
size the first year. I wintered it in a cold frame. The second year I put it
in the garden in a place that unfortunately turned out to be on the dry side.
This summer, the third year, it is a good sized clump but has not bloomed.
So - it will survive in dryish soil but will probably do better in a more
moist location. It seem it will take two years or three years to bloom.
Morning sun is OK, mine is not in full sun.
I am zone 4 and the sun question always must be dealt with. What is too much
farther south may be OK here but instruction often advises part shade and one
never knows until one trys.
If more cultural info is out there, I too, welcome it.
