Thank you James.  We'll try this method too with our new JIs.  It will cut
back on our losses.  Until last year we had no trouble with JIs using the
same culture conditions as siberians.  But I suspect that JIs tolerate a
wide pH range depending on the cultivar.  Better safe than sorry so we will
lower the pH for the JIs this year.
