Please let us know what you find out. My crummy garden was loaded with
bloom this year, yet some of my most reliable irises that I've had for
years did poorly (they wanted the usual late eratic freezes that weren't
here this year?? or more likely, either the summer drought the previous
year or unusually long winter warmth followed by normal cold)

Also had some wierd behavior on two irises - JUNGLE PRINCESS and STARLIT
VELVET... they were growing fine this spring, then suddenly, just as
everything else was really starting to take off getting ready to make
bloom stalks, they shut down, dropped all their leaves, went totally
bald, and seem to be rotting now that temps have warmed to the muggy 90s
F & nighttime temps are into the 60s.

The gravel fields were reeking of soft rot yesterday - never have had
THAT experience before. eeeeuuuu! phew.
