I can commiserate.  I am always asked if I can ID an iris.  While I don't
mind doing this for some of the perennial nurseries -- they usually just
want to verify that they have what they think they have or something got
mixed up but they have a list of what it could be.  But for others...

beardeds left with possible show stalks are  Sonja's Selah, Xanthrippes Halo
and Glass Slipper.
