Heather,
In IRIS-L Digest 406 (Sat, 1 Feb 1997), Sharon McAllister was kind enough
to post several EXTENSIVE lists from the 1966 RHS colour swatches giving
the RHS numbers and their names.
If you cannot find these in the archives (not sure that they go that far
back), please contact me offline and I will be glad to forward her posts on
this. There was an extended discussion thoughout January and February of
that year on the subject of color systems.
BTW: Mars Orange is the name associated with RHS 31C & RHS 31D
