Mine is sited on the east side of the house with oak tree shade. It does
get good morning sun. It grows with hostas for me and gets regular water
in the summer with no apparent ill effects. My best and longest bloom
periods have been when the winter weather has been mild, so I would
think it would do well in your area. Rick Tasco grows it unless he has
eliminated it this last season. We were comparing our blooms periods
once. Mine was very prolific at the time, but his were even more so.
My bloom season has lasted from Thanksgiving 'til the end of March,
bursting into prolific bloom in every mild spell.
